Privacy Policy
The short version: FauxCut collects no data about you. Everything happens on your iPhone.
What we collect
Nothing. FauxCut has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no crash-reporting service of its own. We don't operate servers that receive your videos, your projects or any information about how you use the app.
Your videos and Photos access
- FauxCut uses Photos access only to read the clips you choose and to save your exports as new items.
- FauxCut never modifies or deletes your originals. Every export is saved as a new video.
- Deleting a project in FauxCut removes only the project, never anything in Photos.
- Projects are stored on your iPhone. If a finished video can't be saved to Photos, FauxCut keeps it on your iPhone in Unsaved Exports, which you can see in the Files app.
Music access
If you add music, FauxCut asks for access to your Apple Music library, or you can pick a file from the Files app. This is requested only when you use that feature, and the music stays on your iPhone.
On-device AI
The AI wand that suggests transitions runs on your iPhone using Apple's on-device frameworks. Your clips and the results are not sent anywhere.
Purchases
If you buy Pro, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple. We don't see your payment details. Apple's own privacy policy applies to the purchase.
Children
Because we collect no data, we collect none from children either.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and describe the change in the app's release notes.
